 Australia!

Gidday from Oz!
I'm
wanting to keep you up to date with my
whereabouts, and it seems email is the best way to
do that.
On August 28th I flew to
Brisbane, Australia to begin the next chapter,
some might even say, the next Book of my life. It
has been an incredible Odyssey, and what love
story isn't?
Suffice
to say, I'm finally feeling settled. I had left
much of my stuff behind in Brisbane in February
and I was being welcomed back home. It was an
odd sensation, however, when I first arrived to
see my clothes hanging in the closet, my pictures
on the walls, right down to my "ducky blanket" on
the couch before I unpacked. I spent the first 2
weeks here just resting & reading &
settling.
For
those who don't know I broke my hand and middle
finger knuckle a week before I departed from
Vancouver. Both are healing well, although my
finger is still in pain when I bend it. I see the
orthopedic surgeon Thursday for an update &
X-rays. (And yes, I am taking
calcium).
Late
last week I met with one of three women
who own a Clinic called
Sowelu (www.sowelu.com.au)
in Brisbane, in an area similar to Kitsilano, in
Vancouver. I will be renting a counseling
room to see clients & cultivate my
counseling/meditation/teaching practice two half
days a week beginning in October. It is a
like-minded community and I'll be working out of a
space where I can tap into their data base, use
their big room for meditation classes &
workshops & be of higher service. I'm
excited.
On the tax front, I will return to
Vancouver in March for two months to continue my
tax business there. So for those of you reading
this who are clients, rest assured, your taxes are
in good hands still! My assistant, Rachel,
continues to open my mail & we talk on a
weekly basis. Things can always be sent to my
Vancouver address & she will forward them to
me here.
Life
in relationship with Steve continues to be
wonderful with its inevitable peaks & valleys
dependent upon my communication with my higher
powers & self. Wedding plans are being
finalized & happiness & excitement is
building. Numbers are small, trying to stay under
25 guests. For those who want to put it on their
calendars, the date for the wedding in Australia
is December 12th. In Vancouver we will have a big
reception/party, tentatively booked for March
5th, 2010, venue tbc.
Being part of Josh's life,
(Steve's son) who just turned 13 last week is
also going very well. Seems he's maturing at a
rapid rate & surprises both Steve & I
daily. This photo was taken after winning his
semi-finals in soccer a few weeks back. Yes, he's
going to be a heart-breaker.
Lastly, my first
baby, Zola, my cat, arrives in Brisbane on October
7th. He's in Sydney quarantine right
now, and judging by the almost daily reports
I'm receiving he's doing well & is accepting
as ever of his mother's
international travels.

I don't
want to rub it in, but soon the seasons will
be turning from spring to summer & with it the
hot weather will arrive. It's been in the high 20s
all week & they are anticipating pushing into
the low 30s. We're all chomping at the bit to have
the first swim of the
season...
Please
keep in touch with your news. I always love
hearing from you. I'm not always so prompt with my
reply, but know you live with me
here.
With that,
I'll say good bye. Big hugs &
love,
