In 2003-2004
Angela Hryniuk was is the Buddhist Chaplain at
Burnaby Correctional Institution for Women where
she ministered weekly to a group of devoted women.
From 2000-2004 she also
was the Buddhist representative on the Federal
Interfaith Committee of Correctional services
of Canada which sets policy for Chaplains in Federal
Correctional institutions. She worked to create
an interfaith manual for the system to better
educate both inmates and staff about rituals and
worship.
